Maxie Ford Turn

Description

A Maxie Ford done while rotating: step on one foot, shuffle the other as you start to turn, land on the shuffling foot, then tap the opposite toe tip behind it as the turn finishes. It makes five sounds and your weight ends on the foot that shuffled. Each Maxie Ford makes one full rotation, so a string of them travels across the floor.

Practice Tips

• Point the shuffle toward where you are traveling, not out to the side, so the brush and spank still catch the floor while you rotate.
• Spot your direction of travel and keep the turn level; the final toe tip should still land clearly as your head comes around.
