Description
A four-sound traveling pattern: one foot does a dig toe (heel then front of the foot), then the other foot does a step heel (ball then heel). Because it goes heel-toe on one foot and toe-heel on the other, it is also called "heel toe toe heel", and the weight passes from one foot to the other.

Practice Tips
- Keep the toe and heel sounds strong - as you speed up they tend to get weak and rush ahead of the beat.
- Practice slowly with an even "1 & 2 &" before alternating feet; the syllabus accents the step and heel, so let those ring out.
