Description

An eight-sound riff walk that opens exactly like the 7-beat riff walk: a right brush (or touch) and scuff, a left heel, then a right dig and toe. Instead of ending with two heels, it finishes with a left spank and step, then a right stamp on 2.

Practice Tips

  • Get the 7-beat riff walk clean first, then swap its last two heels for spank, step, stamp.
  • Count the whole thing slowly as e & a 1 e & a 2 so the stamp arrives right on 2 instead of late.
