Description

Riff the right foot (brush the ball, then scuff the heel), drop the left heel, dig the right heel and drop the right toe to take weight, then drop the left heel and finally the right heel. Seven sounds; the weight ends on the right foot, and the next one starts with the left so it travels forward.

Practice Tips

  • Keep the riff separated: lean into its first sound and bring the foot down at a steeper angle so the brush and scuff don't merge.
  • The last two heels go left then right - practice them slowly as a clear pair so they don't flam together.
