Description
Spring onto the ball of one foot (a small leap or step), shuffle the other foot in the air, then leap onto that shuffling foot. You land with the free foot crossed in front of the supporting leg, ready to repeat. The step travels sideways, with the weight moving foot to foot on the first and last sounds.

Practice Tips
- Starting the shuffle too early is the most common problem. Lift the shuffling foot a bit higher first so the shuffle falls on '&a' and not on top of the first leap.
- Stay on the balls of your feet with your heels lifted, and keep the free foot crossed in front at the start and end of each buffalo.
