Buffalo Turn

Description

A buffalo done while rotating. Start with the free foot crossed in front, step onto it, shuffle the other foot, then step onto the shuffling foot so the first foot ends crossed in front again. The body turns through the step, and the weight changes on the first and last sounds.

Practice Tips

• Keep the shuffling foot close to your body. If it swings far out, the brush and spank usually go missing.
• Aim the shuffle in the direction you are turning; it helps both sounds catch the floor.
