Description

A pullback split into four sounds: spring backward and let one foot spank as it leaves the floor, then the other, then land on the ball of the first foot and then the second. Instead of both feet pulling and landing together, every sound is separate, and you end with weight on the balls of both feet.

Practice Tips

  • The second pull tends to rush: let that foot stay on the floor a moment after the first one pulls, so the two spanks don't merge.
  • Give the first landing some air time - bringing that foot up a little higher keeps it from dropping in ahead of the count.
