Description

All four sounds come from the right foot: shuffle it (brush forward, spank back), then dig the heel into the floor and drop the front of the foot so the toe sounds. The right foot finishes flat on the floor.

Practice Tips

  • Keep the ankle loose through the spank. Flexing the foot early to get ready for the dig swallows the second sound of the shuffle.
  • Make the final toe drop as clear as the dig; it is the sound most likely to fade or rush.
