Description

An eight-sound phrase built from two shuffle steps, each with an extra sound slipped in before the step. The right foot shuffles and taps a toe tip, rising briefly onto it like a single toe stand, and the left foot steps; then the right shuffles again and digs, and the left steps again. The left-foot steps land on 2 and 4.

Practice Tips

• Keep your knees bent through the toe tip. Straightening up on it makes you lose the brush of the shuffle that follows.
