Description

Everything happens on the right foot: shuffle (brush forward, spank back), tap the tip of the toe on the floor, then step down onto the ball so your weight moves onto that foot. Four sounds, and only the last one takes weight.

Practice Tips

  • Stay relaxed in the ankle on the toe tip so the foot can drop straight into the step; a stiff ankle makes the step late.
  • Pull the foot up right after the toe tip. If it lingers on the floor, the tip and the step blur into one sound.
