Description

A wing done on one foot. With your weight on the ball of the supporting foot and the other foot off the floor, lift up while the supporting foot scrapes outward on the edge of its ball tap. It then spanks back in while in the air, and you land on the ball of the same foot. Three sounds, and the weight never leaves the supporting foot.

Practice Tips

  • At the widest point of the scrape, press the ball tap into the floor quickly and firmly, then lift it right away as the foot swings back in.
  • Start small and keep the working foot under your hip; a big outward swing leaves no time to spank and land.
