Description

Riff the right foot forward (brush the ball, then scuff the heel as it passes), drop the left heel, dig the right heel in front and drop the right toe so the weight moves onto it, then drop the right heel. Six sounds; the weight ends on the right foot, and the next one starts with the left, so the pattern walks forward.

Practice Tips

  • Don't rush the toe after the dig - give it its full place in the count before the last heel.
  • Make the left heel in the middle (the third sound) loud and on time; it anchors the whole phrase.
